New Year Resolutions

Every single year, we hear; 'I'm going to work out this year,' or 'I'm going eat healthier this year.' These are what we call resolutions.

Resolutions are basically setting goals. These goals are extracted from our past year's imperfections.

Setting goals is one thing, but keeping and maintaining them is another. Think about it like this, you are going to get fit this year, you do it once and then procrastinate and procrastinate and procrastinate, you do this all year, next year comes along and the cycle starts again. It is just a waste of time. Instead set goals that are SMART.

SMART GOALS WORK!! If you say 'I'm going to work out,' ask:

1. What type will I do?

2. How long would it take to achieve this?

3. Am I prepared to achieve this?

4. Is this realistic?

5. When will I accomplish this?

These are a few questions you have to analyze, internally. When you believe you can do it, believe in yourself. That takes me to my next point.

BELIEVE

If you don't believe in yourself then who will. You are your own person. If you believe in yourself then others will too. You are your motivation, you are unstoppable. You can get it if you really want. Try, push yourself to your limit. Take this as a new mindset for a new year. You can do anything that you put your mind to. I believe in you!!

Jamaican New Year

A Thanksgiving Article

There are a lot of things to be thankful for. I cannot count the number of blessings that were bestowed upon me in 2020. Indeed I am blessed. I am undeserving of God's love. This year as we embark upon trials let us remember we can overcome them. A verse that is not strange to me is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me." If God can bless us, who says that He can't strengthen us and keep us. After all, pain is temporary but life in heaven is forever. You have to struggle to succeed. Let this be your motivation a quote that stands out for me: The author is unknown let this encourage you to be thankful for whatever is thrown your way because there is a purpose for everything. I hope you guys will stay positive and remember no pain, no gain, make sacrifices, and be grateful for the Lord's blessings. Let that keep you and be with you. Have a great day!!
